Tomero Malbec
Bodegas Vistalba Tomero Malbec 2012/2015 [75cl] Argentina

Powerful but elegant flavours with plumy and blackberry hints. Butterscotch and a slight spiciness is integrated by the subtle notes of vanilla. Medium purple, with a dark core. On the nose it shows spices and black fruit aromas. More on the peppery and spicy side than most other Malbec from Argentina. Good acidity and long finish. Ideal to pair with grilled lamb or duck magret.

Tomero Malbec is aged in stainless steel and French oak barrels (20%) for 8 months priot to bottling and 6 months of bottle ageing. A ruby red wine with lots of plum and dark berry character. A little spice, some vanilla from the oak ageing and a hint of caramel sweetness. Full-bodied but elegant and with a pleasingly long finish.
