Jade De Fleur De Lisse Bordeaux Red 2019
Country/Region of Origin: France

Region: France, AOC Bordeaux

Grape variety:  Merlot (89%), Cabernet Franc (3%), Cabernet Sauvignon (3%) & Malbec (5%)

Background: Jade represents living organisms of the sky and earth; the sequence consists first of cultivating the land, then right through to harvesting the grapes. The wine produced is the culmination of a complete process of working the land by the winegrower. It is only after this stage that a delicate alchemy can begin between the vat house and wine cellar. Brothers Jean-Claude and Jean-François Berrouet provide their valuable guidance for producing this lovely wine.

·         The second wine of Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Chateau Fleur de Lisse

·         Certified HVE3 aka High Environmental Value

·         Aged for at least 8 months

·         Oenologists are brothers, Jean-Claude and Jean-François Berrouet

Tasting notes: A Merlot-led blend with notes of ripe black plums and spice. The palate is rich, silky and intense.

Brilliant ruby red with violet reflections. Fruity and delicately fragrant, the wine shows blueberries and strawberries on the nose, complemented by notes of violets and a hint of Sechuan pepper. On the palate, full-bodied, round, with sweet enamel and a wonderful fruit, aromas of black currants, wild blackberries, some liquorice and roasted coffee are presented. The finely woven, very soft tannins are only noticeable in the finish.
