Duval Leroy Brut Nv Rose Prestige 1er cru
Champagne Duval-Leroy Rose de Saignee NV

The perfect pre-starter, a top of the range pink Champagne blended from the finest Pinot Noir & Chardonnay grapes.

Presented in a beautiful, seductive bottle, the Brut Rosé shows a salmon colour with aromas of wild cherries, figs and even a hint of ginger and geranium. With a solid maturity and balanced vinosity, this wine represents the best of what Duval-Leroy has to offer to wine lovers and fans of fine rosés.

"Over the last 10 years, the quality of Duval-Leroy has soared and for a few years now it has been possible to claim that no other house can beat it for consistency of style - not even the greatest of the great" - Tom Stevenson, writing in Decanter magazine.

Duval-Leroy was founded in 1859 in Vertus in the Cote des Blancs, Champagne, and remains there to this day under the same ownership, having been handed from father to son since. It is the last Champagne house of this size to remain totally independent and latest owner Madame Carol Duval-Leroy, who personally oversees the wine-making process, intends for it to remain so.

Duval-Leroy is also one of the last Champagne houses to use the Saignee method which exemplifies the focus of traditional methods of Champagne making. The use of oak imparts a character and richness to the wines, and the predominance of the Chardonnay grape gives an elegance and delicacy to the vintages.
