Beaujolais Villages Dom. De La Roche Rouge
Domaine de la Roche Rose Beaujolais-Villages 2018 [75cl] France

These fruity, fleshy wines reflect the characteristics of the terroirs they came from. The fruit of granitic and sandy soils, Beaujolais-Villages have an intense robe with cherry to garnet tints and aromas of red fruit with blackcurrant and strawberry at the fore, the appellation also stands up very well to its rank of cellaring wine.

Classic Beaujolais with soft, supple tannins drinking well now
This Beaujolais possesses a beautiful colour, very pure aromas with hints of red berries which is typical of Beaujolais wines.
On the palate, vibrant strawberry and raspberry flavours are complimented by wonderfully soft tannins.
Beaujolais is part of the greater Burgundy region, although its climate and soil make-up are quite different. It's well known for its light, fresh and fruity reds made from the Gamay grape.
Wines produced labelled 'Beaujolais-Villages' come from the better sites in the hilly northern area, and the best of Beaujolais tends to come from one of the ten communal villages, Fleurie, Brouilly and Morgon to name three.
