Santa Alvara Merlot is a Chilean red wine from the Rapel Valley Central region. A smooth and juicy Merlot, full of ripe plum and red berry fruit, medium weight and slightly spicy on the palate with a generous fruit-filled finish, made from 100% merlot grapes. Merlot is arguably the grape on which Lapostolle built their reputation, and this thrilling example shows why, with masses of complex ripe fruit and some spicy notes from five percent oak ageing.

Lapostolle Grand Selection Sauvignon Blanc 2015 Brilliant pale lime yellow. Very expressive with aromas of tropical fruit and delicate citrus notes. White fruit such as peach and herbal tones. Balance and fresh palate, vibrant and fresh acidity, good volume and a long lasting finish.

Lapostolle Grand Selection Chardonnay 2016 [75cl] Chile Pale yellow with greenish hues. Aromas of tangerine peel, ripe pear, dry fruits and white flowers. Fresh and lively acidity, good structure, with stony notes adding complexity.

Lapostolle Grand Selection Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 Intense purple color. Expressive nose full of fresh red fruit aromas such as plum and cherries. Fresh attack and a medium body. Finishing with very juicy tannins.

Lapostolle Grand Selection Merlot 2014 Brilliant ruby red color with purple hints. Very expressive nose of fresh red fruit such as cherries and plums. Good structure with polished, elegant and juicy tannins. Medium body and a long finish.

Lapostolle Cuvee Alexandre Chardonnay2015 [75cl] Chile Bright light yellow with subtle green notes. Very expressive. Delicate floral aromas and sweet notes of fresh tropical fruit, such as mango and papaya. Very round and elegant mouth feel with excellent volume,freshness and vibrant acidity, long lasting finish. As a general winemaking philosophy, in our Cuvée Alexandre Chardonnay we look for elegance, balance, freshness and ageing potential. 100% of the grapes were hand harvested in small 14 kilos crates, then the whole grape bunch was directly pressed and the juice naturally decanted in stainless steel tanks at low temperature. 82% of the juice was fermented in French oak barrels at 15-18°C and 18% was fermented in stainless steel tanks at 12-14°C. Our Cuvée Alexandre Chardonnay was 100% aged in French oak barrels for 11 months (49% in new French oak barrel and 51% second and third use French oak barrel). The result is a well integrated oak with elegant structure to enhance the natural acidity and freshness. No malolactic fermentation was done. James suckling 92 Points

Lapostolle Cuvee Alexandre Merlot 2013 [75cl] Chile As a general winemaking philosophy, in our Cuvée Alexandre Merlot we look for elegance, balance and ageing potential. Express the terroir of Apalta is our mission; so our winemaking philosophy remains a very natural process with minimal intervention. Our key points are 100% hand harvest in small cases of 14 kilos, strict fruit selection by 77% optical state of the art grape selection, Vistalys and 23% hand de-stemming of the grapes at our Clos Apalta Winery. Gentle extraction methods and a judicious use of oak to preserve the fruit but integrate the complexity that a wine of this quality deserves. For the vintage 2013 we decided to add 12% of Carmenère to enhance the spicy character of this variety. Cuvée Alexandre Merlot was aged for 15 months in French oak barrels: 39% in new oak; 20% in second and 41% in third used French oak barrel. 100% of the blend in 225L French oak for 15 months. Barrel use: 39% in new oak; 20% in second and 41% in third used French oak barrel.

Lapostolle Cuvee Alexandre Pinot Noir 2015 [75cl] Chile Bright red ruby color. Elegant, with black and red fruit aromas such as plums, blackberry and flowers. Very nice freshness and complexity. Fresh plums and blackberry flavors and long finish. “A true expression of the most difficult grape to work with at the vineyard and at the winery. With limited production, its delicate perfume and elegance make of our Cuvée Alexandre Pinot Noir a charming wine”. This year 91% of the grapes had bunch selection and optic selection made by Vistalys, the remaining 9% had carbonic maceration to preserve the fruity character of the wine. The fermentation was 100% made by native yeast. 91% of the wine was aged for 13 months in new, second and third use French oak, the remaining 9% was aged in steel tanks. The result is a delicate and fresh Pinot Noir with a subtle and well-integrated oak. 91% of the wine was aged in French oak for 13 months. 9% was aged in steel tanks. 27% in new French oak barrels, 12% second use and 52% in third use oak. Coopers: Saury, Baron, Radoux, SMF, Sylvain, Taransaud. Mostly medium toast.

Kappa Pisco was launched in 2012 by Grand Marnier, famous for their orange liqueur. This Chilean grape brandy is produced from double-distilled Muscat grapes combined with pure water from the Andes.
