Sichel De-Classified Sauternes 375ml
Sichel Sauternes 2010 [375ML] Bordeaux France

A tiny parcel of the surplus production from the most famous of all Sauternes vineyards. The Château does not make a second sweet wine, so this is made with the same noble grapes as the Grand Vin—which are picked individually on 7-10 separate occasions as the botrytis sets in—and are then aged in oak at the Château. 2010 was one of the great Sauternes vintages and the Grand Vin produced a legendary wine that will be talked about for decades. It will though currently cost you £500+ for a single 75cl bottle. This however is Nectar at a very affordable price.

OUR TASTING NOTES: Pale gold with an extraordinary complex nose of summer fruits, peaches and apricots. Rich and concentrated - it drinks exceptionally well now and will last for at least another 10 years.
