Susana Balbo Nosotros
Susana Balbo Nosotros 2011

Once again, Susana Balbo Wines obtained excellent scores in James Suckling's last report: "The pleasure of; 700 wines tasted ", confirming that the wines made by one of Argentina's most relevant winemakers are among the best of Argentina's viticulture. The winemaker's most exclusive wine due to its limited production,Nosotros Single Vineyard Nómade Malbec 2011, from Altamira (south Uco Valley) obtained one of the highest scores of the report with 98 points, being part of a select group of 10 Argentine wines. As top wines go, this is up there with the very best! It is Susana Balbo's personal dedication to her family, her winemaking team, to Argentine wine and to Malbec. Incredible concentration and fruit definition and, most amazingly, although this will happily improve in bottle for 10 - 15 years or more, it is absolutely delicious right now. 18 months in 200% new French oak barrels! In other words, after 9 months the wine is moved from one new barrel to another. Hmm! Anyway, it's gorgeous. "The source of this, Susana Balbo's top Malbec, has shifted from Agrelo to the Uco Valley since 2010, showing finer tannins and more minerality on the palate. Sweet, yet fresh, with subtle oak and classic Uco colour, intensity and poise." 94 / 100 Tim Atkin ARGENTINA 2015 Special Report (2011 vintage)
