Wild Irishman Three Colleens 2021
Country/Region of Origin: New Zealand

Region: New Zealand, Central Otago

Grape variety: Pinot Noir

Background: Wild Irishman is a boutique wine label form Central Otago, New Zealand. Known for its picturesque mountains and lakes, the region also boasts some of the finest Pinot Noir vineyards in the Southern Hemisphere. The Mt Rosa Lodge Vineyard in Gibbston Valley produces about 35 cases a year for sale and is also one of the highest vineyards in New Zealand. This tiny vineyard enjoys warm sunshine during the day and cool nights, perfect for the production of high quality Pinot Noir. This ultra-low production wine is highly sought after, so grab one while you can.

Tasting notes: An elevated and airy feel with mountain herbs and flowers on the nose and an underlying hint of earth and forest floor. The palate is intensely focussed and is showing a little more tannic structure than normal. Precisely balanced.
