Background: The Zabu wines are made from grapes cultivated in the noble wine region of Sicily. It is not without reason that this place is known as the gift of God. The Sicilian Island is the biggest in the Mediterranean region. The wine territory of Sicily not only includes this island but also the islands of Aeolia and Pantelleria. Close to 107000 hectares of land are planted with vines in this territory, making it an integral part of Italy’s wine history.
Tasting notes: A soft, supple wine made in a modern style. This wine is deep ruby red in colour. It is fresh and unoaked. The plummy flavours of this wine are preserved by the wine-making.
Winemaking process: After a very long fermentation with skin contact to extract colour, body and aromas, the wine is pressed. 50% of the wine is aged in barriques and 50% in concrete tanks for about 6 months, where it undergoes malolactic fermentation. The wine is then bottled to preserve the fruit flavours.
Tasting notes: Deep ruby in colour, the bouquet is full of red and dark fruits, spicy and balsamic with eucalyptus hints. Notes of oak are present but this is a fruit full body wine with very long aftertaste.
Tasting notes: A deep and brilliant red wine with purplish highlights. It has an elaborate aromas with things of spices, such as liquorice and cloves, prune, cherry blackberry and blackcurrant.
Tasting notes: Deep ruby in colour this wine has notes of plum and red flower. Great intensity and a palate of balanced red berry and plum. A bodied wine with a fabulous and spiced finish.
