Background: The grapes for this wine come from selected vineyards in the municipality of San Marzano, where the vineyards are already over 70 years old. The grapes are left on the vine until they are harvested until they have lost much of their substance due to the intense sun. This drying of the grape gives this very special wine its intense body and its powerful fruit. After fermentation, the wine matured for several months in French oak barrels.
