Background: A fabulous vintage, this wine is expressive and typical of great right-bank wines. It hails from the lassagne family who’ve been managing their estate for three generations. The vineyard in the commune of Abzac is small at 4 hectares and is situated on welldrained soils with vines of around 30 years old.

Tasting Notes: This elegant wine has a generous bouquet of overripe cassis and black berry fruit, highlights by a hint of spice. The palate is rich and elegant, revealing moderate tannins and crunchy extract imparting length and balance. Delicious return of fruit on the finish. Rich, ripe Merlot with well-structured tannins.

Food Pairing: This Merlot pairs well with red meat, rich sauce based dished, matured cheese and pasta.
