Background: Podere Brizio is a top small producer, making beautifully elegant wines in Montalcino, Tuscany. This 9 hectare estate is located in Sant’Angelo in Colle, an area of Montalcino, known for producing long-lived wines of great elegance and finesse. Chief winemaker Vittorio Fiore is considered one of Italy’s leading oenologists and his touch is evident in this beautiful wine. The excellent south-west exposure of the vineyards enjoys the ideal type of soil and climate for growing the Sangiovese Grosso grapes of Montalcino. No chemicals are used and the vines are sprayed with only small quantities of organic fertilizers.
Podere Brizio is considered one of the finest estates in Montalcino. Rosso di Montalcino is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, carefully grown in our vineyards located in the south-west part of the town of Montalcino.
Tasting notes: A fruity, refreshing and elegant wine. Intense aromas with notes of ripe red fruit. Fresh on the palate, with elegant notes of currant and red fruits.
