Tasting notes:Bright yellow with a youthful green tinge. Characteristic "Pepper" and aromas of apple, quince and a hint of peach. The rich texture is well balanced by the juicy yet lively acidity. This wine is very elegant with a long and round finish; a delicious and classic example of a Grüner Veltliner from the Weinviertel. Great drinking pleasure.
Weinrieder Gruner Veltliner Ried Schneiderberg 2022
Region: Austria
Grape variety: Riesling
Tasting notes:Notes of earth, yeast and corn husk make for an unusual but compelling nose. The palate enforces this even more: Fruit subsides next to that yeasty, salty, almost bitter intensity that also has a creamy backdrop and elasticity.
Background:The very high lime content in the Kugler vineyard has a very distinctive and lasting effect on the wines. The Rieslings with an exotic style and fine acidity.Weinrierder winery always goes to the limit, especially with the Riesling variety. They take it to a very high risk through the late harvest in order to wrest the best from nature. “Riesling on the limit”.
Tasting notes:Complex notes of peaches, honeysuckle, fruit bread and apricots, joined by hints of forest floor and sun-warmed rock. Incredibly fruity on the palate due to its residual sweet profile. Balanced, silky texture and lively fruit acidity and considerable length. Once again, hints of honeysuckle and papaya appear.
Tasting notes: This Austrian riesling has a yellow-green colour with silver reflections. Meadow herbs and fine tobacco spice underlay peach, guava and orange flavours. It has a juicy amd integrated acid structure with dark minerality. The finish is firm and slightly spicy, with integrated sweetness of tropical fruit and lychee.
Tasting notes: Great balanced wine with crisp acidity, with a very exotic palette Lovely, fruity flavour with a strong sweet-acidic balance – a classic wine with creamy sweetness.
Tasting notes:Dried-vegetable to herbal and slightly floral-perfumed scent of partly candied yellow fruits with hints of tobacco and yellow-spicy notes. Ripe yellow fruit with clearly herbal-vegetal and again floral notes, fine acidity, some grip of crumbly tannin, some sweetness, warming alcohol, good substance and persistence, black berry hints, lots of power, nutty, tobacco and spicy notes, very good, again warm and sweet finish with grip.
