Background: Hardly surprising as this little beauty is from Albariño's home Rías Baixas. A wet and breezy corner of Galicia, that's more Cornwall than Spain, and bagpipes are a national treasure - it's a happy hunting ground for crisp summer whites. Hailing from the cool Val do Salnés, a commune described by Decanter Magazine as the "true identity of Rías Baixas Albariño".
Tasting notes: The Medusa is bursting with peach, citrus peel and a whiff of sea air.Textured, fresh and rounded wine which is dry and not too sharp, with citrus and apple peel notes on the nose.
Background:Located on the Atlantic Spanish terroirs, this fine wine collection is an exquisite example of the potential of Spanish white wines. Translating as "Sea Drops", this Albariño has all the acidity of a great New Zealand Sauvignon with its own seaside character.
Tasting notes: Brilliant pale lemon colour. Intense aromas of peaches, white flowers, minerals and a hint of fresh sea breeze. On the palate, a well-balanced prominent acidity with stone fruits and light minerality. Lingering finish, with a mouth-watering acidity and long complex persistence.
