Region: Santorini, Greece
Grape Variety: 100% Assyrtiko
Background: Argyros Estate was established in 1903 and is now run by Matthew Argyros, the fourth generation of the family to do so although the family has been involved in grape growing on Santorini for 200 years.
Tasting Notes: Pale lemon green in colour. Purity focused, dominated by citrus, lemon and lime aromas with a hint of salinity. On the palate it is dry with a piercing acidity. It is textured, medium to full bodided that feels broad yet lively, showcasing flavours of fresh apricot, roasted almonds and white tea. The finish is long, clean and refreshing.
