Langmeil Orphan Bank Shiraz 2014

Region: Barossa Valley, Australia

Grape Variety: Shiraz

Tasting Notes: Deep crimson with purple hues. It has a rich aroma of red and blue fruits, herbals and cedar, entwining with hints of sage, chocolate and savoury notes. On the palate, juicy raspberry and Satsuma plum fills the mouth, with oak sweetness adding to the mouthfeel. Sweet fruity is well balanced with briary spice and textured, fine tannin.

Food Pairing: Langmeil Orphan Bank Shiraz pairs well with a variety of dishes, particularly those featuring red meats, game and rich, earthy flavours. It compliments grilled meats like lamb and beef as we as roast lamb, duck or pork. Hearty stews, mushroom risotto, roasted vegetable tartlets and matured cheese platters also make excellent pairings.
